REMEMBER

I always encourage people to remember these three things.

  1. You are important

  2. You do matter

  3. If you want to change, what is it you’re going to work on.

You are important.

Never think that your not worth it because you are!

You do matter.

Even when you feel the whole world around you is just crashing down, there is always someone near by you, a family member, ya best mates, or even a professional, there is no weakness in reaching out for help, its a strength!

If you want to change, what is it you’re going to work on?

  1. You can start small with changes, a new song or music genres, it can help with mood.

  2. Food discoveries of dishes, if you enjoy cooking prepare your own meals or family or even share a memory to cook together. Doing so will test a new flavour to keep things interesting (if you find you don’t like it, you don’t have to get it again).

  3. Creating hobbies in things your interested in doing. Example art painting, drawing, fitness, music, fishing, gardening, hiking, knitting, photography, making things - there are so many options you can try.

  4. If you have a much loved pet spend more time with them , create enrichment ideas or training, or just spending quality time to develop special moments. Walking or petting your pet will also lower your stress and create endorphins to create the feel good hormones and chase away the negative thoughts and provide a calmer mind to relax more.

  5. Learning new things. This can be about yourself health wise e.g. medical conditions which I have had to do in the last few years, its the ongoing issues as things can change as years pass, nobody (and no body) is perfect, but being perfectly honest about situations with your loved ones can help others understand your needs better. Everyone is different so understanding peoples communication styles provides awareness and can support better connections and understanding between you and others.

  6. Do something you enjoy whether that is watching your favourite movie with popcorn or going to the beach and running in the water to have a splash :)

meditation can be a thing, too.

  7. Write a journal to unload your thoughts, this can unburden you with carrying too much on your mind, you can write anything you want, important dates or silly random thoughts, goals, daily routines and records. Doing this just before bed can be a good time to help clear you mind before you rest. It will be your book, create it however you like. Even a few sketches wouldn’t hurt :)

I wish you good luck and remember don’t give up on yourself, you can always try again. You are awesome!!!

Big hugs, you can do this a lil step a time. From your friend,

Budgie.

( I should say I’m not a professional. I am sharing these as it has made a difference for myself and hope at least one can help you too. You’re never alone :)
